EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE IN LEADERSHIP
Abstract
The article examines the role of emotional intelligence in shaping effective leadership practices within modern organizations, emphasizing its growing importance in the context of dynamic and competitive business environments. The purpose of the study is to analyze the impact of emotional intelligence on leadership efficiency and overall organizational performance. The relevance of the research lies in the increasing need for leaders to not only possess technical and managerial skills but also to demonstrate the ability to manage emotions, build trust, and foster positive relationships within teams. The methodological basis of the study combines qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research methods include an analysis of emotional intelligence components such as self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills. These elements were examined to determine their influence on team dynamics, conflict resolution, and decision-making processes. The study identifies key findings, including the significant positive impact of emotional intelligence on team cohesion, employee satisfaction, and overall productivity. It was established that emotionally intelligent leaders are more effective in resolving conflicts, inspiring their teams, and fostering a collaborative work environment. The results of the research demonstrate the direct and indirect benefits of cultivating emotional intelligence in leaders, including higher employee engagement, reduced turnover rates, and stronger alignment with organizational goals. It is proven that emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in achieving long-term strategic objectives and maintaining organizational sustainability in a constantly changing market landscape. The practical significance of the study lies in its recommendations for organizations seeking to improve leadership practices and enhance team performance. The proposed strategies for emotional intelligence development offer a roadmap for businesses aiming to achieve competitive advantages through improved leadership effectiveness.
