AGRO-INDUSTRIAL FORMATIONS IN GLOBAL AGRICULTURE: COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS
Abstract
The article presents a comprehensive analysis of international practices in the functioning of agro-industrial formations in leading agricultural countries, including China, India, Brazil, the United States, Canada, and the European Union. The study considers economic and climatic factors influencing national agro-industrial development strategies. The study identifies key trends in the ongoing development of agriculture, including production intensification, technological advancement, the increasing prominence of organic farming, the growing integration of national agriculture into global supply chains, and the role of state support in facilitating sectoral growth. These trends highlight the importance of innovation and sustainability in agricultural practices, as well as the significant role that both state and private sector initiatives play in the development of agro-industrial systems. Special emphasis is placed on examining the organizational structures of agricultural enterprises across various economic systems, with a focus on how these structures influence productivity, innovation, and overall economic efficiency. The article also delves into the analysis of foreign trade activity, particularly the import and export dynamics of agricultural products, which play a crucial role in global food security and market integration. Furthermore, the study takes into account the influence of both economic and climatic factors, which have a significant impact on national agricultural strategies and their ability to respond to challenges such as climate change, market fluctuations, and shifting consumer preferences. Based on a comparative analysis of agricultural production volumes, conclusions are drawn regarding the effectiveness of different models of agrarian management and the potential for their adaptation to the Ukrainian context. It is established that the development of large-scale agro-industrial formations in Ukraine can enhance production efficiency, encourage innovation, increase competitiveness, contribute to the development of rural areas, and strengthen food security. The article provides recommendations for implementing successful international practices in the post-war recovery of Ukraine’s agricultural sector.
