MAIN COMPONENTS OF THE KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ASSESSMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze, systematize and substantiate the main components of the assessment of key performance indicators of higher education institutions. Today, Ukraine needs to identify aspects that will fully and comprehensively allow us to understand the state of affairs in higher education institutions, in particular the effectiveness of their management. Therefore, the direction that should be investigated at the current stage of our country's development is highlighted, namely, the main components of the assessment of key performance indicators of higher education institutions. To conduct the outlined study, methods of analysis and synthesis were used, which allowed us to analyze, systematize and substantiate the main components of the assessment of key performance indicators of higher education institutions. The article considers the main components of the assessment of key performance indicators of higher education institutions. A large number of studies of the role of key performance indicators are presented, which combine an understanding of the significance of past events in constant changes and improvements in the process of effective management of higher education institutions. A historical excursion was conducted into key performance indicators, which should be the flagship for making management decisions by university management. The types of management qualities for managers of higher education institutions were analyzed, which are a necessary component of the process of effective management of them and should become significant factors in assessing the performance of universities. Some performance indicators in the higher education system of leading countries of the world were studied in relation to their KPIs. The problem of the shortage of specialists in the field of management effectiveness in higher education and the impracticality of regular management schemes in the university sector were highlighted. Therefore, knowledge of the problems of universities and assessment of their activities in accordance with the proposed conceptual framework are important. The country's new economic, social, and cultural planning thus made universities a leading figure.
