INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE IN IMPLEMENTING THE INDUSTRY 4.0 CONCEPT BY ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURES IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOBALISATION

Abstract

The article investigates the issues of actualisation of the digitalisation process in accordance with the Industry 4.0 Concept in the activities of organisational structures of foreign countries in the context of globalisation, which affects the intensive development of production, e-commerce, transformation of public administration, and formation of ecosystems. The World Digital Competitiveness Ranking is compiled to determine the digital readiness of countries and the speed of technological transformation in order to formulate state policy in the field of competitiveness of the national economy and strategic business decisions. This ranking is analysed in terms of indicators of digital competitiveness of foreign countries in the context of implementing the principles of the Industry 4.0 Concept. The digital leaders are identified. The factors influencing the digital competitiveness of countries in the context of implementing the principles of the Industry 4.0 Concept, which include knowledge, technology, and future readiness, are considered. According to the Industry 4.0 Concept, a wide range of information technologies is distinguished, which differ in the way they are used, their purpose and the varying degree of coverage of management tasks. It is proved that in foreign countries, one of the progressive technologies that affects the life of society and the economy is the technology of Artificial Intelligence. This technology, with its methods and algorithms, is capable of performing various tasks similar to the human mind, whose behaviour is focused on a specific goal. The author reveals the essence of organisational and legal regulations on Artificial Intelligence in the EU countries and their basic requirements for harmonisation of the rules of operation, methods of technology implementation. Attention is focused on the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence with other technologies of the Industry 4.0 Concept. The components of the AI life cycle are clarified, which allowed the development of a reference model of the AI system in the European Union in the context of digital transformation.
