STAGES OF MODERN METHODOLOGY SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN MASTER'S THESES OF STUDENTS MAJORITY "ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND TRADE

Abstract

The purpose of the article is a comprehensive study of the stages of the modern methodology of scientific research in the master's theses of students majoring in “Entrepreneurship and Trade”. Training in the specialty includes two key components: educational and research, which interact to form qualified specialists and interest of master’s students in scientific work. The research component of the program involves the involvement of master's students in scientific work and provides the opportunity to participate in scientific conferences and round tables. Masters are also able to publish the results of their research and present them to the public. One of the mandatory components of the specialty is the discipline “Methodology and organization of scientific research with the basics of intellectual property”, which helps to form scientific skills, and therefore, accordingly, is extremely important in the training of specialists in the specialty “Entrepreneurship and trade”. The research used a combination of qualitative research methods. The article examines the concept of “methodology” and its difference from the concept of “methodology” and concludes that the studied concepts have important differences in their meaning. Methodology is a broader and conceptual concept, while technique is a system of methods or specific techniques and approaches. The main stages of the modern methodology of scientific research in the master”s theses of students majoring in “Entrepreneurship and Trade” are highlighted: formulating the research problem, choosing research methods, collecting and analyzing data, proposing hypotheses and formulating conclusions, developing practical recommendations, designing the master’s thesis, publishing the results. The specifics of each of the selected stages were analyzed. Methodological characteristics of quantitative and qualitative research methods are grouped. On the basis of the conducted research, the importance of highlighting the stages of modern scientific research methodology in the master's theses of students majoring in “Entrepreneurship and Trade” is substantiated for the formation of young scientists’ skills in structuring research work, ensuring the sequence of actions in the research process and achieving higher quality research.
