FORMATION OF A METHODOLOGICAL APPROACH TO DETERMINING THE DEVELOPMENT OF DIGITAL TRADE IN GLOBAL MARKETS
Abstract
In the work, the formation of a methodological approach to determining the development of digital trade in global markets, taking into account regulatory competition and the creation of a chain of added value, was carried out. The paper reveals the theoretical basis of digital trade by defining such definitions as "digitalization", "trade", "digital economy", "electronic trade". Based on the analysis of the given definitions, the author made an attempt to provide his own definition of the concept of "digital trade", the scientific novelty of which consists in taking into account the purpose and key features. In the context of profound changes in the speed and form of economic development caused by the technological and industrial revolution, in particular the progress of digital information technologies such as the Internet, big data and artificial intelligence, the digital economy has emerged and is gradually becoming the main component of the national economy of each country. The purpose of the work is to form a methodological approach to determining the development of digital trade in global markets. Digital trade methodology is based on the process of digital trade in global markets, which includes production, distribution, marketing, sale, delivery of goods and services through electronic channels. Digital infrastructure, human capital, science, technology and innovation capacity have a significant impact on countries' digital trade, with the level of NTI being the most important influence. In addition, the heterogeneity analysis shows that human capital and NTI potential are more sensitive to the digital trade of middle-income countries than to the effects of high-income countries, and the contribution of population in middle-income countries is more pronounced. Based on the analysis of numerous examples of electronic trading platforms, platforms, many components of the landscape of the digital trade ecosystem, it is possible to distinguish broad functional groups related to digital goods and services, ideas about which are formed in different contexts and even at different stages of the development of trade relations.
